WiensI wish I would have had this book 40 years ago as I began my journey in leading within the local church. I am not sure it would have changed many of my experiences, but I would have had a map to better understand where I was, what I need to do to keep moving and ultimately where I was headed. This book succinctly and (I believe) accurately describes God's heart and intent for leaders functioning in His Ch"Beyond the Local Church is a critically dangerous read for anyone within earshot of Christendom. If Sam is wrong, nothing will change and the church will continue its downward slide into a remnant. If Sam is right, the church is uniquely and powerfully poised to reach the world.
