My school board is currently going into Carver board training and this book was assigned. It is right on target. A must read for all non-profit boards.The difficulty for me was that it reads slow - technical discourse. Yet I wanted to read it all the way through and found it very instructive. Great dJust as Carver's Policy Governance transforms the board's job, it also transforms the job of the CEO. This guide offers practical advice for nonprofit CEOs on working with board members under this powerful model.
